Travel Advice

San José is located on the south-east coast of Spain on the Costa de Almería, Andalucía. It is just 20 miles from Almería Airport and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Murcia Airport is approximately 2 hours drive, Malaga and Alicante approximately 3 hours drive.

Flights from the UK are available with Easyjet, Ryan Air, Monarch, Thomson and BMIBaby. Direct flights are also available to Almeria from Barcelona, Madrid, Melilla, Luxemburg, Brussels and Dussledorf.

Car hire is available from all airports and, although not essential, we recommend hiring a car to explore the local area.

If you prefer not to hire a car, a bus service is available from the airport to Almería approx every 40 minutes and onwards to San José with Autocares Bernado (www.autocaresbernardo.com) three times a day. If you prefer, or your flight times don’t fit in with the bus times, there are always taxis at the airport or we can arrange a taxi to get you to San José from the airport.
